My name is Francesca, I was born in Italy where I undertook my degree in International Relationships and a Master in Peace Studies.
I had lived in Cyprus and Romania for a while, before settling in Scotland in 2012. My experience of working in the third sector led me to support people from any walk of life, coming from different backgrounds, experiences and geographies. This has included people who struggle with substance and alcohol use problems and mental health issues. Some were displaced, trafficked, homeless or involved in the criminal justice system.
I hold a postgraduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, and I am currently a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and PCT Scotland.
My studies, work and life experiences fueled in me a strong sense of social justice, which translates into my practice as a counsellor.
